The Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) is global organization designed to link aspiring public relations students with those who work in the industry. Through PRSSA, students are exposed to knowledge designed to enhance both their educational and professional experience.

The PRSSA at Southeast mentorship program is designed to engage members who have extensive experience in the areas of networking and internships with those who are new to PRSSA or to public relations in general. The goal of the program is to educate members and equip them with the skills in order to find internships as well as help develop interviewing skills, dress attire knowledge and proper resume building. For more information contact Katie Lever, President-elect, at

PRSSA at Southeast attends both the PRSSA National Conference in the fall semester and a regional conference held in the spring semester. These conferences bring together industry leaders and students through various workshops and agency tours. PRSSA at Southeast members have been able to network at these events which in turn led to internships in leading PR firms.

PRSSA at Southeast also brings various speakers throughout the semester to speak during meetings. In the past, PRSSA at Southeast has hosted representatives from the Vital Voice, Bliss Events, FOX Sports Midwest, Yelp!, and more. Members have the opportunity to meet with these professionals after meetings and exchange information essential for networking.

PRSSA at Southeast will not give anyone an internship! Rather, expose members to resources on how to search for internships, utilize their network and prepare for future internships and subsequently jobs. Past members have had the privilege of interning in St. Louis, Chicago and New York to name a few.
